TSE 808 - TubeScreamer sim

Postby onqel » Sun Sep 26, 2010 8:54 pm

Hi guys

I've released a new (free) tubescreamer sim (based on the Maxon OD808).
Included is an amazing GUI done by FrankZappa!

- Stereomode, 2X/4X OS, adjustable quality control (for better control of cpu usage).

The plugin can be downloaded here:
http://www.theserinaexperiment.net/plugins/TSE_808v1.0.zip

It's official thread is here:
http://www.theserinaexperiment.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=8

Enjoy!

Hell yeah! I'll check it out and let you know what I think. Previously the king of freescreamers was, er, BTE Audio's Tubescreamer's Secret. Is yours better than theirs? I like the options and your previous work was good, so I have a lot of faith. Now to see if it is justified...!

Agreed, you'll have to find out for yourself :P Personally I like it better than the TSS, but I'm a little biased by the fact that I created that plugin..

This is really great!!
It's very warm/tube-like/punchy compared to other TS (BTE and MOKAFIX).
Its attack is as natural as an analog pedal.
And it really helps playing!! Very smooth sounding.
Of cource TSE 808 matches TSE30 and LeCto beta quite well.
Congragulation on making the new default TubeScreamer simulation for us. 8)

I have worked on a tubescreamer a while ago and never finished the project... too lazy
Maybe it's time to port it to Mac and finish it.

This plugin works awesome as clean treble boost too, with the Drive on 0. Use it with a Vox type Class A EL34 amp and you have instant Brian May, Beatles sounds etc.
