If anyone would like a copy of any of the VSTs I have modified, feel free to send me a PM, and I will send you a link to my Dropbox folder (which has about 30 plugins in it, by various creators).

Brilliant Fat-Alfie !!!!! :salut: :bounce: :king:

Hey guys, kind of an old thread, but I've gotten into doing this the last little while, here's my take of the Hybrit, as a DSL....Yes, I have a DSL100.....lol...

Any tips/help with this stuff would be greatly appreciated, I can do the png replacement pretty well (for me...lol), but I'm wondering how to change fonts & such in the dll???

Cool thread!!!

Skin finished now, in Photoshop. I just need to export each piece and replace them in the .dll :)

Hey man how can I create mine?
I mean you said you need to export each piece and replace them in the .dll, how that works?
Thanks.

I think this covers all aspects of replacing assets within a .dll

Good luck!

If anyone wants to reskin the 64 bit LePou plugins, the only software that absolutely works for 64 bit DLLs is Anolis Resourcer which can be downloaded from http://anolis.codeplex.com/. I have used it to reskin LeGion, LeCto and LeXtac using Fat Alfie's amazing graphics and they all work perfectly in Reaper x64 (as you can see below)

Hi!. Recently I discovered this awesome thread of themes, guis, skins for diffrents plug ins, and I downloaded some of them for your blog: http://fat-alfie-gui.blogspot.co.uk/, but I want to answer you for others of them, because I saw other images of the custom plug ins like TSE 880 and Nadir cabinet for example. Any link to download them, or even those are in beta? I appreciate the answer.

P.D. Sorry for my bad English.

Hi - yes, the blog thing was just an experiment (never tried writing a blog before, and it took took long to do)

If you send me a PM with your email address I will send you a link to a folder containing every skin for every plugin I have made so far (including the clean / dirty TSE 808 and the NADiR cab sim) :)

Hey Fat-Alfie, would you consider reskining Mercurials hotjcm800 and jcm800 plugins? would be cool to tweak them in amp head form :)

Yeah man, it'll be a couple/few days as I'm away from my "big" computer at the moment, but I'll send it as soon as I'm back....

Question for Alfie: How would we edit the Amplitibe 3/4 graphics??? Or is it even possible?????

Thanks very much. It really is a labour of love, making skins :)

The only problem I have is that I seem to have run out of amps to skin

I started work on a JCM 45 skin for S-Gear's Stealer amp last week - that's coming along quite nicely :D (amazing what happens when you start listening to AC\DC  )

If you're looking for new amps to skin, how about the 25 new Recabinet Thermionik 5 amps that were just released??!! They are absolutely begging to be re-skinned. There's a list of all the amps at this link (http://kazrog.com/products/thermionik/), and while some may be duplicates with what you've already done, there should be some new ones as well. Keep up the great work.

How are you doing switches? Is it with Resource Hacker? Which programs do you use?

Yeah, Resource Hacker or PE Explorer.

Anything that enables you to replace image resources.

It's about 4-5 hours for me to design the skin, and then 2 minutes to update the .dll :?

All good fun, though
