I really dont use anything other than Lecab2.

question though. not sure what version I have, other than lecab2.

the dll is

Poulin_LeCab2-OG
and dated 12/3/2010

the only feature i would like is to be able to type values into the various paramaters, ie, lp, hp, vol... is the one i have the latest one and has it been 4 years since he made?

but it sounds right he didn't do anything to it for years.

There was only one update, which fixes some crashes upon loading an IR (or clicking the open-folder icon or something).

If your DAW doesn't have an option to bypass the GUI and enter values directly then you're out of luck I guess.

As far as I know, Cubase 7 lets you bypass the GUI.

Brilliant. Seems I was using not quite latest version (by 4 days, lol) Now I have Rev1 LeCab, newest from his site.

Also am using Cubase Artist 7.5.20 and switched to generic editor.

BRILLIANT. Thanks, lads.

I've been trying quite a few IR loaders out lately, from MixIR2 to WOS3, Recabinet3, and lastly LeCab2. I had a quick experiment last night to try and make the GUI a little easier on the eye - is this kind of modification allowed here, or not?

I only replaced one image with Resource Hacker - no other changes were made.

If it's ok with the original creator, maybe other skins could be made and uploaded :D I started on a fully-modelled 3D version today, in an attempt to get a photorealistic appearance. I'll work on the textures tomorrow and see how it goes.

Slight update - I've tried a more 'vintage gear' look (which I think looks better).

Still got the knobs to change yet, too :)

Vintage skin in finished. I made a few minor changes today (on/off switches) and I really like it now.

Time to stop messing with it and get back to playing guitar now :D

A friend of mine, who hates the LeCab2 skin, wants me to ask you, where he can get this skin?

I had to replace the skin components within the .dll, rather than making a new skin. It would be great if LeCab2 (in fact, ALL plugins) were designed to be re-skinned, but I guess that would be extra work for the creator.

As there is no new skin, as such, but rather a modified .dll, I guess I should seek permission from LePou before I pass my version to anyone else. Anyone else know differently? I've reskinned games in the past but never audio software, so I'm not sure of what's the done thing.

I certainly find it easier and more enjoyable to use LeCab2 now though, I have to say :)

EDIT - I have just sent a PM to LePou asking permission to share the .dll, so I will keep you posted :)

My friend says, why don't you just share the images? That should be possible...

Good point!

Images attached in .zip 8)

I used the free app Resource Hacker, but had to SAVE rather than SAVE AS as the .dll failed to work in that case.

Let me know if you can't work out which image is which, but it should be fairly easy to do.

A big, big thank you, mate! Now LeCab2 is pretty and so much more fun to use!
