1st - great job on the tutorials. This is helping me big time to make sense of the HCBuilder interface.
2nd - I'm trying to set up the VSThost, Blue Cat's FreqAnalyst, HCBuilder interface the way you have it modeled in you example.
Here's the challenge - I'm not able to access either my Behringer or ASIO drivers so that I have some input / output.
I noticed that the VSThost has an area in the menu to access the ASIO related stuff but it's not active which seems to mean that VSThost is not "seeing" the drivers on my system.

Any thoughts as to a workaround???

I also noticed that the VSThost comes with several dlls -vsthostDEU.dll and vsthostFRA.dll
If I import these into my primary VST folder can I then access VSThost from Reaper and thus solve the problem of VSThost being able to access the Behringer/ASIO drivers?

thanks

parkway

You could just put the builder and the blue cat in chain in reaper. I do this way, works for me. =)

Leirbagpdl -

you know...I thought about doing it that way. problem is...is that when I can't get something working like I want it to I just have this need to get under the hood and see why it's not.

great suggestion though!

thnx

I should just build that FFT scope back into the builder. That would solve the need to run another analysis tool. The other thought is, does HCB have to be ran in VST host, why can't you just do the tutorial from reaper..?

Hey...MMJ or Ken or anyone.

I've been trying to tweak the C-Gain numbers in the cures - Gain Section / Dynamics

I've tried doing it directly where the C-Gain is located and have tried doing it via the Max Gain and Max Level but with no results. The numbers just don't want to change for me.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks,

parkway

Man, press the SHIFT key, hold it, then left click that figure space and drag it sideways, left or right to reduce or increase the value, but not up or down as is in my case. good luck!

ur very welcome buddy!
note that if the figures are too fast on the move you can drag them without the Shift key to slow down your tempo, in some fields you can even type in the value you want it to be.
cheers

Yep.. Also if you go into defaults, you can adjust how fast or slow the numbers work with or without the shift key. You can also change the key from shift to ctrl if you want..

Head Case Builder 1.6 this will change a little and we will be getting rid of the shift key. Instead of pressing shift, moving the mouse up/down will be large increments like holding the shift key, and moving it left and right will be fine tuning. This way you won't have to take your hand off your $2,000.00 Les paul to make an adjustment..
