New presets for Metal Amp Room

Postby softube » Fri Feb 20, 2009 2:17 pm

Hey guys,
I'm Niklas from Softube. Since no one else is posting here, I might as well do it myself... :D

Anyway, we received some Metal Amp Room presets from producer Tue Madsen that he used when recording bands such as Heaven Shall Burn, Dagoba, Engel, Ektomorf and Hatesphere. The presets has been included in the latest installer (1.1.4), and do actually sound pretty different from our "factory" presets...

He also included some bass presets which he used together with a clean DI:d signal (blending between the distorted Metal Amp Room signal and a clean track).

Cheers,
Niklas

Clips, or it didn't happen!
Seriously, I'm curious to hear those Madsen's preset, I love his productions!
Hope you can upload some new samples on your site soon! I still don't have an iLok, too bad...

Nice to have you here, welcome!

Thanks!

Clips clips clips... Always the same...

I did a quick and dirty recording. Same basic riff eight times while changing presets. Sorry about the poor playing, I'm neither a metal head nor guitar player.

So a total of eight riffs (two bars each) recorded with these presets:
1. Dagoba 1
2. Dagoba 2
3. Distant Mikes 1
4. Distant Mikes 2
5. Ektomorf
6. Heaven Shall Burn
7. Hardcore 1
8. Hardcore 2

Find them here:

No more than a guitar, Pro Tools, Metal Amp Room and an M-box 2 mini has been used.

Metal amp room is the best and the Tue Madsen presets really kick some serious butt.
Shot niklas you guys are wiping the floor what with Revalver not making any offerings.
cheers

It's a shame that MAP uses iLok (which I don't have) - and even for the demo it is needed so there will be obviously never ever be a chance to check this thing out.

It has to be killer because it lacks a lot of thing that other competitors (Revalver, Amplitube Metal, Overloud TH1 etc.) have - e.g. stomp boxes, several cabinets, amp models and so on.

<sigh>

So, get an iLok. It's not like they are expensive. You won't regret it, even if you have it just for Softubes plugins.

Yes, you can. It has a bypass cabinets function.
