Midi footcontroller and Reaper with GR4 and Ampltibube 3

Postby metal4life68 » Sun May 13, 2012 5:51 pm

I am looking for the best route to go to control my GR4 and Amplitube 3 ,JamVox with Reaper. There are so many choices and the price range :( The thoughts of spending a $1000 is just insane. I want to be able to hit a record button and stop with Reaper and change effects with with my VST plugins. Do you think the Behringer FCB1010 Ultra-Flexible Midi Foot Controller would do the job?

FCB1010 is great. It works nicely out of the box. You can program it to start/stop Cubase, for example (don't know about Reaper).

BTW, if you want some more interesting functions (like stomp box mode), try to replace it's factory firmware chip by Uno's. It's far better than the orginal firmware.

If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anyway...

YES! The UnO-Chip is a very good choice for the FCB1010 because of the real stomp-box behavior that is not correctly supported by the Behringer-Firmware. I did that update last week and i'm so happy with it :-D
